Operations Technician at Ellinge Wastewater Treatment Plant
Are you looking for an interesting job with varied tasks where you, together with your colleagues, contribute to an important societal function? Then you might be our new operations technician at Ellinge Wastewater Treatment Plant, beautifully located just south of Eslöv! We are looking for someone who wants to work as an operations technician and help lead the development towards high water quality.
Your Upcoming Role
As an operations technician at VA SYD at the Ellinge wastewater treatment plant, you will play an important role in being responsible for monitoring the operation of the plant's various functions together with your colleagues. The work is performed practically outdoors in the fresh air as well as indoors at the computer. Your tasks as an operations technician include:
- Monitoring the treatment process of the plant.
- Process optimization and follow-up.
- Responsibility for addressing faults and problems that arise in operations.
- Sampling and monitoring of water quality and quantity at all facilities in the distribution chain.
- Preventive work to analyze and assess trends based on information from our operational systems.
- Reporting in our maintenance system IDUS.
- On-call duty may be required, with a maximum response time of one hour.
The production department, which includes the Ellinge wastewater treatment plant, comprises our production facilities for wastewater treatment and biogas. Ellinge is the region's second-largest treatment facility and, together with 10 smaller treatment plants, constitutes the operational area served from Ellinge. The work is based at our nice office in Eslöv, but the operational area also spans parts of Lomma and Lund municipalities.

Our working hours are typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, but you will be able to adjust your working hours within the flexible time frame to some extent.

Your Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- an operations technician education at the post-secondary level or equivalent work experience from either water and wastewater operations, process industry, or similar.
- A valid driver's license (B).
- Good computer and system skills.
- Experience working with process control systems and maintenance systems.
- Experience in operations and maintenance work from water and wastewater operations is desirable and meritorious.
